Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Discover Canada Prep (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

2. Description of Service

Discover Canada Prep is an independent exam preparation platform designed to help users practice for the Canadian Citizenship Test. The Service provides practice exams, study questions, progress tracking, and related educational tools.

Important: Discover Canada Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or any official government body. The official study guide for the Canadian citizenship test is "Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship," available free of charge from IRCC. This Service is a supplementary practice tool only and does not guarantee success on the official citizenship test.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@discovercanadaprep.ca if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

We use passwordless email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access or collect content • Reproduce, distribute, or sell any content from the Service without our written permission • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity • Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and any applicable taxes will be clearly disclosed before purchase.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of any price changes via email.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and all its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Discover Canada Prep and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The practice questions in this Service are based on information from "Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship," published by the Government of Canada. This material is reproduced for non-commercial educational purposes only.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or its content without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

We make no representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the practice questions for the official citizenship test. The official test is administered by IRCC and its content may change without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Discover Canada Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@discovercanadaprep.ca. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
